Be a metaphor magician!
- Change the similes into metaphors.
- Underline the simile in each sentence.
- Re-write the simile as a metaphor
- Underline the words which you have used metaphorically
e.g. Las Ramblas is like a ribbon of moonlight . Las Ramblas is a ribbon of moonlight.
- The wind grabs the leaves of the trees like hands.
- The tourists move like bulldozers through the crowd.
- Magic trees shake their leaves like wet kitten.
- Boys and girls are so excited, they fizze like a firework.
- The roses on the stalls look like magic wands glittering
